This great LP featuring both the Cline Bro's came my way yesterday at the Flywheel monthly flea market from Andy of local improv stalwarts, Barn Owl.
Tim Bearne leads this band through a great selection. Latin grooves juxtaposed against experiments in tonality and dissonance, swinging free bop dissolving into senseless soloing from the whole ensemble... that certain joi de vivre I love in contemporary jazz is omnipresent here, with out too much stuffy, club scene driven "coolness."
